GasTOPS receives IRAP funding for fluid sensors

Ottawa-based GasTOPS Ltd has received $950,000 from the Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP) to develop optical measurement techniques for machinery fluid sensors to improve the operations of industrial machines. The 31-year-old company will use the IRAP funding to assess fluids such as fuels and lubricants leading to the creation of new line of condition monitoring products. The budget for the project is $1.6 million and continues until mid-2013. GasTOPS develops products and services to improve the productivity and safety of equipment in a range of industrial sectors including defence, aviation, marine energy and transportation….
