Western Economic Diversification (WD) is investing $2 million in the Canadian Light Source (CLS) synchrotron to reduce fees of first-time industrial users. The Saskatoon-based CLS will use the First User Program to attract approximately 50 new industrial clients, helping to reach its target of 25% industrial usage by companies in sectors such as environmental science, natural resources and energy, health and life sciences and information and communication technology.
