Twenty-five Canadian science, technology and research parks have banded together to create the Canadian Association of University Research Parks (AURP Canada). The Association will be a chapter of the Association of University Research Parks, with offices in Washington DC and Tucson AZ. AURP's inaugural president is Dale Gann, VP of the Vancouver Island Technology Park (Univ of Victoria). A new AURP Canada survey shows that Canadian science parks employ 39,000 people and contribute $3.8 billion to the national economy.
