Shell, WD and AIS contribute to NAIT training centre

Shell Canada is contributing $3 million to the Building on Demand campaign of the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) as part of a $7.6-million package that will establish the NAIT Shell Manufacturing Centre. The project is designed to address acute skills shortages in the oil and gas sector. Other contributors include Western Economic Diversification ($3.1 million) and the Alberta Innovation and Science ($1.5 million). To date, $33 million has been raised for the Building on Demand campaign, which has a target of $50 million. The campaign is part of NAIT's $750-million college expansion to boost its training capacity by 50%....
