Preston Manning has been appointed to the board of governors of the Council of Canadian Academies (CCA) replacing a position held by Dr Chaviva Hosek. Manning is one of four governors proposed to the CCA board by the Industry minister. Formerly leader of the Reform Party and his party's critic for S&T, he is president of the Manning Centre for Building Democracy and a fellow of the Fraser Institute (see page 3)….
