Dr Rafik Loutfy has been appointed chair of the board of directors for the Canadian Light Source (CLS) synchrotron, effective June 24th. Loutfy — who succeeds Dr Arthur Carty — is director of the Xerox Centre for Engineering Entrepreneurship and Innovation and has more than 30 years experience with the Xerox Corp including VP of the Xerox Research Centre of Canada.
