Precarn provides $4.9M for six intelligent ICT projects

Precarn Inc has awarded $4.9 million to six collaborative teams of Canadian researchers for intelligent information and communications technology (iICT) projects. The Precarn funding levered $7.4 million from other sources for a total project value of $12.3 million. The projects include development of an intelligent water monitoring system, a vision-guided robot system for auto parts, an advanced CT bone analysis system, a 3D scanning system for deformable manufactured parts, an emergency response scheduling system and a system providing signals between satellites and ground stations. The projects involve research organizations, companies, universities, government agencies, a community college and a municipality….
