CFI invests $23 million in 95 projects

The Canada Foundation for Innovation has announced more than $23 million in funding for 95 projects at 26 universities. The lion's share of funding ($18 million) will cover tools and equipment costs through the John R. Evans Leaders Fund, with an additional $5 million awarded under the Infrastructure Operating Fund. The biggest winners in terms of dollar value are: Univ of Toronto ($3 million for 9 projects); Univ of Alberta ($2 million for 9 projects); Univ of British Columbia ($1.4 million for 10 projects); Laval Univ ($1.3 million for 12 projects); and Univ of Montreal ($1.2 million for 7 projects)....
