Canada must evolve its fragmented innovation system by integrating civil society, including philanthropy, and non-profits, to solve complex 21st-century challenges, say innovation and non-profit leaders. They argue that moving beyond a narrow focus on physical infrastructure and GDP will allow Canada to leverage its well-educated human capital, connect with and support communities, and build the trust necessary for sustainable prosperity.
