U of T and York Univ to sign pact with Anna Univ

The Univ of Toronto and York Univ are set to sign technology transfer and academic cooperation agreements with Anna Univ, Madras, India. The announcement of the pending agreements was made at the inauguration of the Canadian Education-Technology Mission earlier this month. Anna Univ was established in 1978 and is currently establishing a knowledge data centre and a technology incubation centre. India is currently ranked as the sixth most important global destination for R&D by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and is aiming to move into third place by 2009….
