System-on-Chip Research Network officially announced

Funding for a national System-on-Chip Research Network was afforded yet another announcement at a July 17 gathering in Ottawa. Officials from governments and the principal funding organizations praised the initiative, which will be led by the Canadian Microelectronics Corp (R$, May 10/01). The Canada Foundation for Innovation is contributing $15.9 million, while the Ontario Innovation Trust is providing $6.2 million. Another $18 million will be injected by industrial partners....
