Ray Bassett

Ray Bassett has been appointed assistant DM of the Premier's Council on Economic Strategy (PCES), effective October 1st. Bassett has been a key player in the development of Alberta's innovation strategy since 2001 when he was appointed ADM with the former ministry of Innovation and Science. Following that position he was ADM policy and planning with the ministry of Advanced Education and Technology (AET) and executive lead, innovation policy. With his move to PCES, Bassett is reunited with Dr Bob Fessenden, who was previously DM of AET before leaving last year to become DM of the PCES (R$, March 27/08).
