Nathalie Des Rosiers has been appointed president of the Canadian federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences (CFHSS). Des Rosiers is dean of the civil law section in the Univ of Ottawa's faculty of law and is a proponent of law reform. She succeeds Dr Noreen Golfman, an English professor and dean of graduate studies at Memorial Univ. The CFHSS also made two key director appointments. Pierre Normand has been appointed director of communications. Normand has considerable experience in the fields of post-secondary education, research and innovation. He has run his own consulting firm since 1997 with clients including the Canada Foundation for Innovation, Networks of Centres of Excellence and Canadian Consortium for Research. Alison Faulknor has been appointed director of programs. Faulknor has more than 10 years experience designing and implementing programs and events. Prior to joining the CFHSS, she was associate director of the Dominion Institute….
