HQC funds biomass conversion technology

Alternative Green Energy Systems Inc (AGES) has received $400,000 from Hydro Quebec Capitech Inc (HQC) to develop its KDS combustion system, bringing HQC investment to $1 million. The KDS system converts moisture-laden biomass and pulp sludge into a fine, dry combustible fuel. The first system to be put on line is at the Atlantic Packaging Ltd de-inking plant in Whitby ON. AGES is a joint venture formed in 2001 between Thermix Combustion Systems Inc, Montreal and First American Scientific Corp, Vancouver, owner of the KDS Micronization System....
