Dr Mohamed Ibnkahla has been appointed to the new Research Chair in Sensor Technology for the Internet of Things (IoT) at Carleton University. Ibnkahla is a professor in the Department of Systems and Computer Engineering. The focus of his research is to develop new, innovative sensor networks and technologies for the IoT. Prior to joining Carleton, he was a professor at Queen's Univ's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He holds a PhD from the National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse in France. The research chair was created with $1.8 million over nine years from Cisco Canada….
