Teva invests $56 million in Canadian production facility

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd is investing $56 million in its advanced manufacturing facility Stouffville ON with $6.5 million in assistance to Teva Canada from the Ontario government. The investment in the High Potent Product Manufacturing Facility Expansion will create 20 new positions and retain another 182. Formerly Novopharm Ltd of Canada Teva is one of the world's leading manufacturers of generic medicines with 35,000 employees globally. Novopharm was sold to Teva in 2000 by founder Leslie Dan, who is now chairman of Viventia Biotechnologies Inc. Dan was part of an Ontario delegation of life sciences companies to Israel where the announcement was madeā€¦.
