Ron Matheson

Ron Matheson has been selected as an executive-in-residence at TEC Edmonton, a pilot project funded by the Alberta Heritage Foundation for Medical Research's ForeFront Program. Matheson will work with three or four health sciences firms spun off from the Univ of Alberta, providing assistance in the areas of business planning and management. Matheson was previously with University Technologies Inc, working with medical and life sciences to secure seed financing and management expertise. In the 1990s, he was president and CEO of Ottawa-based SynChem Research Inc, where he helped forge a strategic alliance with a major pharmaceutical firm.
