Precarn to fund graduate scholarships

Precarn Inc has announced $1 million in new funding to support graduate students working in the areas of robotics and artificial intelligence (AI). The funding will provide scholarships through the Institute for Robotics and Intelligent Systems (IRIS), an affiliated Network of Centres of Excellence. The first tranche will support 57 robotics and AI students at universities across Canada who were selected by IRIS project leaders. Precarn says the program will be instrumental in helping Canada attract and retain outstanding talent in disciplines such as computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, medicine and psychology....
