New Quebec consortium issues call for proposals

The Quebec Consortium for Drug Discovery (CQDM) has completed its first call for proposals for new medical technologies and processes that can enable the discovery process across several fields. Grants range from $500,000 to $1 million over a maximum of three years. Successful letters of intent will be announced December 23rd. and the winners will be unveiled March/09. CQDM is Quebec's third sector-based consortium and was announced earlier this year at Bio 2008 (R$, June 20/08). The others are the Consortium for Research and Innovation in Aerospace in Quebec (CRIAQ) and Partnerships for Research on Microelectronics, Photonics and Telecommunications (Prompt Inc)....
