Joe Cordiano is the Ontario government’s new minister of Economic Development and Trade (MEDT). Cordiano has served six consecutive terms in the Ontario legislature and was the SuperBuild infrastructure critic while in opposition. He also served as deputy leader of the official opposition, and was parliamentary assistant to premier David Peterson during the previous Liberal government. Cordiano earned a BA in history from the Univ of Toronto, and a MBA from the Univ of Toledo. MEDT was re-named from the Ministry of Enterprise, Opportunity and Innovation following the recent election victory by the Ontario Liberals.…
