Dr Chummer Farina

Dr Chummer Farina has been appointed DG of the Industrial Analysis Centre within the industry sector branch of Industry Canada Most recently, Farina was DG, Intergovernmental Relations and Outreach. His prior appointments include Acting DG Strategic Policy. As the first Executive Director of the Prime Minister’s Advisory Council on Science and Technology (ACST), Farina was responsible for establishing the Council’s operations and its first reports on commercialization, the indirect costs of university research, skills, and Canada’s role in international science and technology.
