ISIS and SFM NCEs pass review for funding

Two Networks of Centres of Excellence (NCE) have been approved for their second seven-year funding cycle after being reviewed by an expert panel of national and international researchers. Intelligent Sensing for Innovative Structures (ISIS) and Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) were provided with funding for the next four years totalling $29.2 million. ISIS received $12.8 million and SFM received $16.4 million. The final tranche of funding for each will be awarded following a mid-term review. Both NCEs are currently in their sixth year of operation. The NCE program caps funding for all Networks within the program at 14 years….
