IBM Canada Ltd is opening its second IBM Client Innovation Centre (CIC) in Montreal, modelled on the CIC it opened in Halifax in 2013. The global delivery centre is expected to create up to 500 jobs over the next five years, with half sourced from local post-secondary institutions and young professionals who will receive training and mentoring support. The Montreal CIC offers clients integrated software packages and specialized software including analytics, data management, enterprise content management and order management. Several large clients have already come on board including Agropur Cooperative (dairy) and Cascades, Canada's largest paper recycled paper collector.
