New model for crop emissions unveiled

The Canadian 4R Research Network has announced new agronomic data that show the use of fertilizer following the 4R Nutrient Stewardship model and the Nitrous Oxide Emission Reduction Protocol lower greenhouse gas and ammonia emissions as well as diminish phosphorus loss to surface water. The data were generated by the group of nine researchers with $1.1 million from Fertilizer Canada and $1.1 million from Agri-Food and Agriculture Canada's AgriInnovation Program: Growing Forward II.
