Dr Ted Hewitt

Dr Ted Hewitt has been appointed VP research at the Univ of Western Ontario, a position he has held in an acting capacity since November/04 (R$, October 12/04). Hewitt assumed the position while he was associate VP research and international relations, following the departure of Dr Nils Petersen who was appointed DG of the National Institute for Nanotechnology (R$, June 15/04). He has a broad background in research, urban development, population health and international cooperation. As acting VP research, Hewitt was responsible for negotiating research affiliation agreements with the Lawson Health Research Institute and the Robarts Research Institute….
