Construction of the London Biotechnology Commercialization Centre (LBCC) is set to begin next month, nearly one year after the project was announced (R$, July 28/00, page 7). The not-for-profit corporation is funded with $5 million from the Ministry of Energy, Science and Technology and an equivalent amount from the City of London on land valued at $1 million donated by the Univ of Western Ontario.
