COM DEV receives $5.2M for micro-satellite program

COM DEV International Ltd, Cambridge ON, has received $5.2 million in federal funding for its new Micro-Satellite Infrastructure Program to develop a new class of micro-satellites that are significantly cheaper to build and launch than traditional geo-stationary earth orbit satellites. The funding flows through the Southern Ontario Development Program, a key program under the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario designed to stimulate local economies and enhance the growth and competitiveness in the region.
