CME's SMART program receives another $20 million

FedDev Ontario has invested $20 million in the renewal of Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters' SMART Advanced Technologies for Global Growth program to assist firms in southern Ontario with the acquisition and use of advanced technologies in their manufacturing operations. The program provides grants up to $15,000 (covering 50% of eligible costs) for advanced technology assessments and grants up to $100,000 (covering 33% of eligible costs) for advanced technology adaptation/adoption projects. Companies with 15 to 1000 employees are eligible for investments in technologies such as robotics, information and communications technologies, additive manufacturing, sensor-based technologies, instrumentation, automated materials handling, nanotechnologies, advanced green technologies and advanced communications technologies....
