Alberta and feds renew WEPA funding

The Alberta and federal governments have jointly committed $50-million to renew the Canada-Alberta Western Economic Partnership Agreement (WEPA) for the third time since its formation in 1998. Jointly administered by Western Economic Diversification (WD) and the Alberta ministry of Advanced Education and Technology, the four-year pact is intended to stimulate economic development in the province by focusing on joint strategic priorities.
