Emissions Reduction Alberta is investing more than $2 million in four new carbon capture, utilization and storage projects in the province, which will include commercialization of new technologies being done with Canadian partners and international companies, universities and research organizations from eight countries.

The Government of Canada has directed $635 million of funding to research projects through the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) and the Canadian Research Chair (CRC) programs.
