At our 23rd annual R$ conference, themed "Reverse-Engineering the Future: Creating the Future We Want for Canada in 15 Years," there was a strong consensus that Canada needs a focused industrial strategy to guide innovation policy and regulation. You can read summaries of the proceedings here.

The key element of a sound industrial strategy is to identify where we want to be in 15 years and then “reverse engineer” how to get there from now. But to start, where are we now? And what successes, if any, over the past five years can we lean into?

Our regular conference rate will now be priced at $750, a discount of $200. Our one-day rate will be adjusted to $550, and our student rate will be adjusted to $125.
