TPC invests $3M to develop safer, cleaner engines

MDS-PRAD Technologies Corp has received $3 million from Technology Partnerships Canada to develop an engine coating technology at its new research headquarters in Prince Edward Island. The investment is part of a $8.7-million project undertaken by MDS-PRAD to develop erosion-resistant protective coatings for use on gas turbine engine compressors. The aim is to make engines that are safer, more durable and more fuel efficient.
