TPC invests $3M to develop safer, cleaner engines

MDS-PRAD Technologies Corp has received $3 million from Technology Partnerships Canada to develop an engine coating technology at its new research headquarters in Prince Edward Island. The investment is part of a $8.7-million project undertaken by MDS-PRAD to develop erosion-resistant protective coatings for use on gas turbine engine compressors. The aim is to make engines that are safer, more durable and more fuel efficient. With operations in Ottawa and Montreal, MDS-PRAD is one of seven companies to locate at the Slemon Park aerospace cluster in Summerside….
