Spectrum Signal Processing receives TPC funding

Spectrum Signal Processing Inc, Burnaby BC, has received $8.3 million in assistance from Technology Partnerships Canada (TPC) for an R&D project to expand applications for the firm’s software-defined radio platforms (SDRs) for use in defence communications, intelligence and surveillance. The reconfigurable wireless technology platforms allows SDRs to be upgraded and change their mode of operation via software. This means the SDR can be used as a single radio for all forms of secure communication and data transmission. Spectrum Signal Processing was founded in 1987 and employs 85 people….
