New research network receives NSERC funding

Science and Engineering Canada (NSERC) is providing a grant of $4.5 million over five years to NECTAR, a new research network will focus on developing design-oriented analyses for collaborative computational environments. The Network for Effective Collaboration Technologies Through Advanced Research (NECTAR) is hosted by the Univ of Toronto and involves the universities of Calgary, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, Dalhousie and Queen’s. Additional funding is being provided by Microsoft Research, Smart Technology, Bell Canada and Avaya.
