MITACS pumps $5 million into 34 projects

MITACS has announced $5 million in funding for 34 research projects. The Network of Centres of Excellence (NCE) has now invested more than $27 million since its inception in 1999. Current projects will facilitate research in the areas of information processing, risk and finance, biomedical and health, environment and natural resources and communications networks and security. Researchers within the Network often work with some of Canada’s largest companies and have achieved the greatest leverage ratio of any NCE.
