MDS sells public retail VC funds to Impax Capital

MDS Capital Corp has flipped its ownership of Canadian Venture Capital Management Corp (CVCMC) and Medical Discoveries Management Corp (MDMC to Impax Capital Corp, just three months after acquiring 100% control (R$, September 2/05). The sale of its public retail VC funds is the first major move in a restructuring announced by new CEO Peter van der Velden. MDMC is the manager of Canadian Medical Discoveries Fund Inc. and Canadian Medical Discoveries Fund II.
