Jim Roche has been appointed acting president and CEO of CMC Microsystems (formerly Canadian Microelectronics Corp) while the organization's board continues its search for a permanent replacement. Roche has been a member of CMC's board of directors for four years. He recently stepped down as president and CEO of Tundra Semiconductor Corp, an Ottawa-based fabless semiconductor firm he co-founded in 1995. Roche's appointment is effective immediately. He replaces Dr Brian Barge who announced that he would be stepping down on or before July/07 (R$, August 21/06) and is currently assessing a number of opportunities. A CMC search committee has assembled a list of prospects and will be contacting those individuals in the coming weeks....
