Dr Richard Lipsey has been awarded the 2005 Gold Medal from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council for 50 years of economic research, teaching and policy development. A professor emeritus at Simon Fraser Univ, he is perhaps best known for his economics textbook, An Introduction to Positive Economics, first published in 1963 and translated into 15 languages. The Gold Medal comes with a $100,000 prize....
