Dr Nigel Lloyd

Dr Nigel Lloyd has been appointed to the newly created position of executive VP at the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), effective April 1. The new position was created following an employee survey last year which, while generally positive, pointed to the need for enhanced internal communications and strengthened leadership for internal coordination of activities. The new position alters the reporting structure within NSERC. Lloyd is responsible for the Council operations and its internal administrative development, as well as the coordination of corporate projects and communications with central government agencies (Treasury Board, Finance Canada, Prime Minister’s Office, etc). Duties entail overseeing the Council secretariat, communications, corporate development and policy and international relations.
