Dr Chad Gaffield has officially stepped down as president of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) after eight years (R$, April 15/14). Gaffield is returning to his former academic position at the Univ of Ottawa as a professor of history. He also holds a university research chair in digital scholarship. A notice seeking
