Dr Aubrey Tingle

Dr Aubrey Tingle has been appointed president and CEO of the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research (see page 3), following his leadership of a coalition that resulted in the formation of the new body. Prior to the appointment, Tingle held three executive positions in British Columbia - all focused on research into children and women's health - including VP research at the Univ of British Columbia's faculty of medicine, children's and women's health centre of British Columbia campus. Nationally, he has been appointed to the advisory board of the Institute of Human Development and Child and Youth Health, one of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. Tingle joined UBC and the BC Children's Hospital in 1974, founding a research lab and Pediatric Immunology Clinical Services....
