Domain Therapeutics opens Montreal subsidiary

Domain Therapeutics, Strasbourg France, has announced the opening of a North American subsidiary at the NEOMED Institute in Montreal. The move follows a licensing and partnership agreement with the Univ of Montreal, its commercialization arm — Institute for Research in Immunology and Cancer (IRIC) — and McGill Univ. The Montreal unit will focus on developing biosensor technology related to G protein-couple receptors (GPCRs), developed by a molecular pharmacology team led by Dr Michel Bouvier at IRIC. Domain is a strategic partner of pharmaceutical companies seeking new GPCR drug candidates in all major therapeutic fields. It's hoped the Montreal operation will lead to strategic relationships with North American companies.
