DaimlerChrysler jump starts Univ of Windsor spin-off

A Univ of Windsor professor and DaimlerChrysler have joined forces to create Tessonics Inc, a spin-off firm that has developed a resistance spot weld analyzer device to detect welding flaws during production. The technology was developed by a team of researchers headed by Dr Roman Maev, who holds the Daimler Chrysler/NSERC industrial research chair in applied solid state physics, DaimlerChrysler provided the start-up funding for Tessonics in return for exclusive rights to the firm’s products for one year.
