Catena Networks completes US$75-million financing

Catena Networks has raised US$75 million in a fourth round of financing to accelerate development and deployment of digital subscriber line (DSL) technology to enable remote provisioning of high-speed voice and data services. The privately held, Redwood CA-based firm conducts its R&D in Ottawa and is aiming to become a major supplier in the broadband access market. Catena technology solutions are designed to enable incumbent telecommunications carriers to provide traditional telephone service and DSL access on a single access line. Participating in the financing are new investors J & W Seligman & Co, Munder Capital Management and WestAM. Follow-on support was provided by: BCE Capital, Morgenthaler, Menlo Ventures, Berkley International Capital, Goldman Sachs Group Inc, Bessemer Venture Partners and Silicon Valley Banc Ventures….
