Atlantic Veterinary College partner for stem cell firm

The Univ of Prince Edward Island's Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) has been chosen as the Canadian centre for the introduction of new equine stem cell therapy technology. The technology was developed by UK-based VetCell Bioscience Ltd, a company founded to investigate and develop stem cell technologies for animal health. VetCell has already chosen partners in several countries to introduce its technology. AVC has an ongoing research program in cell-based therapies and anticipates collaborating with VetCell for R&D for therapies targeting bone fracture healing and treatments for companion animals….
