Valerie Walker

Valerie Walker has been appointed VP innovation and skills at the Business Council of Canada. Responsibilities in the position include providing leadership to council members on innovation, competitiveness and labour market issues, support for the Business Higher Education Roundtable and a survey of members on skills and training needs and strategies. Prior to her appointment, Walker was director of policy at Mitacs Inc, a position she held for two years after serving as a senior Mitacs policy analyst.
