TRIUMF signs MOU with Indian cyclotron

TRIUMF has signed an MOU with India's Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre to share resources and technical expertise in superconducting radio-frequency accelerator technology. There will also be an exchange of scientists to share knowledge and experience in building accelerators. TRIUMF and the Indian Centre will invest an initial $2.5 million. The MOU stems from the success earlier this year in building the first superconducting cavity by scientists from TRIUMF and Richmond BC-based PAVAC Industries Inc....
