S&T funding for Southern Ontario re-announced

The rash of S&T and economic stimulus initiatives in vote-rich southern Ontario continues unabated with a re-announcement of funding from the recently created Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario) and the Community Adjustment Fund. Those organizations are pooling $27.5 million and $17.5 million respectively to make strategic investments in R&D-intensive small businesses. Delivered through the Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP), the announcement is a re-casting of a recent press release that highlighted $50 million in funding from the Business Development Bank of Canada (R$, Sept 22/09)….
