Russia and Canada two MOUs

Canada and the Russian Federation signed two MOUs covering mineral investment and geoscientific research at the June 29 plenary session of the Canada-Russia Intergovernmental Economic Commission (IEC). The MOU covering mineral investment was developed through the IEC's Canada-Russia Mining Working Group consisting of industry, industry association and government representatives. The MOU for geoscientific research stemmed from negotiations between the Geological Survey of Canada and the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources and covers cooperation in marine geology, environmental geology and Arctic research....
