Precarn boosts funding for small business program

Precarn Inc is doubling the size of its Small Business Program with a $2-million investment aimed at companies with revenue between $500,000 and $10 million. The new funding adds to the program which was launched earlier this year (R$, February 28/06) and will support six-to-eight projects. Precarn is also participating in a joint project to accelerate the commercialization of environmental technologies. It will team up with the Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE) and Ontario Centre for Environmental Technology Advancement (OCETA), a not-for-profit organization. Precarn will provide $300,000, with a matching amount jointly provided by OCE and OCETA. Additional funding from participating firms will increase the total to $1 million.....
